The Christ in Christmas Committee of New Orleans

About the Association

The Christ in Christmas Committee of New Orleans was formed as an Association on September 19, 2002, as successor to the Christ in Christmas Committee that had operated continually since August 1952.

The primary purpose of the Association is to promote public awareness of the Christian religious meanings of the Christmas season.

More specifically, the Association solicits donations from individuals and organizations for the purpose of erecting billboards and distributing certain items including yard signs, bumper stickers and car magnets for display throughout the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan Area in order to promote its message.

The Association also promotes various educational programs at area schools, including essay, poster and poetry contests.

The Officers and Directors receive no compensation from the Association.
